Description

*The ES-150D is a deep-bodied Gibson full acoustic guitar that has the same body shape as the ES-335.
It seems to be made in 1974 based on the serial number.
Speaking of the ES-150- many people may think of the archtop model equipped with the so-called Charlie Christian PU- which was produced from 1936- but this device is a completely different model that appeared under different circumstances. A double cutaway model that can be said to be something different.
When viewed from the front- it looks the same as the ES-335- but the biggest feature is that while the ES-335 has a semi-acoustic structure- this one has a thick full-acoustic structure without a center block.
The body thickness is slightly thinner than the same full-aero ES-175 (3.5 inches)- and is 3.0 inches ( about 77 mm)- the same as the TalFarlow model.
In addition- a master volume is installed on the horn section on the first string side of the body- allowing you to adjust the volume with one touch when using the center PU.
Since production ceased in 1974- there has been no reissue model or direct successor model- making it a very rare model that can truly be called a hidden masterpiece.
