September 1942 Ford GPW Jeep Project

This is an original 1942 Ford GPW Jeep project. The Jeep served with the Australian army during WW2. In very nice original condition this Ford GPW has matching data plates and chassis number (GPW65239). The engine is a later war May 1944 Ford GPW engine and it starts and runs on a fuel can. The transmission, transfer case and running gear are all original Ford GPW. The Jeep has a very complete engine bay, all but one of its original gauges, original hood, fenders and front seats. The chassis is very clean, straight and has excellent original frame horns front and rear. The windscreen is original and in good order (except the glass which has shattered) and comes with its original Australian army hand operated indicator arm. The front and rear floors are original with the front having been patched in a few places to facilitate the installation of a bench front seat. A large external fuel tank has been mounted under the passenger side and it has been done very well so can be easily removed to facilitate the Jeep returning to original spec. The rear body has been cut by the civilian farmer owner to make a pickup however the original rear section remains in place. The remainder of the body tub is in very good condition, as are the fenders, hood, grill etc. The Jeep has all its original lights and trailer socket.

If you are looking for an early original Ford GPW Jeep with matching chassis and data plates and which is very complete, this one is an excellent example. Priced accordingly if you have any questions please ask.

Jeep is not currently registered and will come with a NOVA reference for UK Registration.
