Gretsch G6120 Chet Atkins Hollow Body / 2006 (2006) Gretsch G6120 Chet Atkins Hollow Body / 2006 Gretsch "G6120 Chet Atkins Hollow Body" used 2006s. Gretsch's name quickly became popular with the 6120, which was designed by Chet Atkins. This model inherits the great design and aesthetics of that time, and can be said to be the origin of "That Great Gretsch Sound." The scale is 24.6" (625mm) and features a standard U-shaped maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. The maple neck has an impressive ebony fingerboard with neo-classic "thumbnail" inlays along with the hoof inlays on the head. The pickup is mounted with the "High Sensitive Filter;Tron Pickups" that appeared at the Summer Nam Show held in Chicago in 1957. The Filtertron pickup is a dual-coil (humbucker) pickup designed to eliminate the hum noise that occurs with single-coil pickups. The name "FilterTron" comes from "Filter out the elecTronic hum" and features warm tone, output, and sustain. Other models include a Grover Rotomatic tuner, Adjustmatic bridge, and Bigsby B6G vibrato tailpiece, making it the most modern model in the G6120 series. This orange color has a very cool Gretsch feel to it, and it's a Setzer. This product has undergone basic maintenance and cleaning, so it is ready to play immediately!
