This is a very early issue of the Cream City Review. It is very rare. It is from a time period before the magazine became under the ownership of the English Department of UW-Milwaukee.  It was produced when the magazine was still under the Union Activities Board which was a student organization.  The magazine is 8.5 inches by 11 inches.  When the English Department took it over it became a smaller size of 8.5 x 5.5.  Some of the more notable people published in the magazine issue are Bruce Edward Taylor, Robert Siegal and Gordon Hickey.  The Cover Design was done by Peter Chevako.  Here is a unique piece of Wisconsin Literary History
