Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar, 1:2,8/38mm, für M39 | Vintage lens
Das Objektiv stammt aus einer Kodak Instamatic 500, einer deutschen Kleinbildkamera aus den Fünfziger Jahren.
Das Objektiv hat jetzt ein M39-Gewinde und kann an einer modernen Digitalkamera mit einem M39-Adapter genutzt werden. Fokussierung und Blende müssen von Hand eingestellt werden. Die Kamera stellt dann automatisch die korrekte Belichtungszeit ein.
Das Objektiv war ursprünglich für das quadratische Bildformat 28x28mm gerechnet, das etwas kleiner ist als das Kleinbildformat (24x36mm). An meiner Sony A7 habe ich keine Randabschattung feststellen können, siehe dazu auch die Beispielfotos.
Das M39-Gewinde und der hintere Gehäuseteil sind aus Kunststoff und wurden mit einem 3D-Drucker hergestellt.
An einer Meßsucherkamera wird die Entfernungseinstellung nicht zur Kamera übetragen.
Bitte beachten: Die Frontlinse hat einige feine Kratzer/Putzspuren.

This lens comes from a Kodak Instamatic 500, a german camera from the Fifties.
Now the lens has a M39 thread mount and can be used on a modern digital camera via a M39 adapter. You set the focus and the aperture, the camera takes care of the correct shutter speed.
The lens was made for the Kodak Instamatic film Typ 126 (28x28mm) which is a bit smaller than casual 35mm film (24x36mm). On my Sony A7 i didn't notice any vignetting, see the attached samples images.
The M39 thread and the rear part of the lens are made of 3D printed plastic.
You can use the lens on a Rangefinder camera but the Rangefinder itself will not work.
Please note: The front lens shows a few light scratches/cleaning marks.
