Up for auction we have a porcelain shoulder head china doll head. It measures about 3½ inches tall and 3 inches across the widest part of the shoulders. The doll has dark hair that is parted in the middle. This line is either unpainted and shows through white or is painted white. The doll head seems to be painted well, but please view all pictures carefully to see if you agree. There is a dark dot (birth mark?) on the left cheek. There is very little paint loss on the back of the head and it appears the hair is styled in vertical curls around the back of the head. Doll head was collected by my Mother and is presented as found from her estate.
