Antique Cast Iron Umbrella-Cane Stand with Gargoyles c1842-1883 Lozenge Marks.  This is a fantastic piece of history that would look great in an entryway or foyer.  It is a matte black with much detail.  And the Gargoyles, super neat and detailed.  The approx. measurements are; 12-13/16 L x 6-3/4" W x 26-5/8" H.  Very well made, weighing 18lbs. PLEASE NOTE-this piece will be disassembled for shipping.

Based on my research (I am not expert BUT spend many hours collection my data), this piece was made in Britain during 1842-1883 due to the lozenge Mark (kite mark) on the back/bottom of each piece (see photos 9 & 10).  In 1884 the kite mark was replaced by registration serial numbers.
