MAGNIFICENT ANTIQUE 19TH C FRENCH NEEDLEPOINT TAPESTY PILLOW~COURTING COUPLE

Feast your eyes on this gorgeous19th century hand stitched wool needlepoint and petitpoint tapestry transformed into a gorgeous pillow. This French tapestry is in excellent antique condition. The needlepoint area measures approx 17” x 21”. The colors are best described as butter, chocolate, tan, copper, cinnamon, gold, and cream. The couple and their clothing are done in petitpoint. I love the detail in their faces and curly hair.

There is a vintage copper and beige tassel trim on each side of the needlepoint. It is on a yellow floral cut velvet. The pillow is finished off with a gold cord knotted in the corners. The back is done in an elegant Italian cut velvet with a geometic pattern.

This one of a kind romantic pillow measures a whopping 22” x 22” filled. There is a feather and down 28” insert for a plush look and feel. There is a zipper closure for your convenience. The entire pillow is lined for extra durability. This pillow was designed to be an heirloom to be passed down to future generations. It would look fabulous in an elegant living room setting as well as a bedroom on a sofa, bed or chair. It is in excellent newly created condition combining the old (tapestry) with the new (all the other elements) and comes from a smoke free home.
