1898 Steinway Grand Model A lovingly restored professionally by White Plains Piano 2004. All new strings, pins, harp repainted, new felt by strings. Original ivory and ebony keys. African flame mahogany refinished 2019. Some scratches on top and some discoloration as shown in the photos. The action and sound are true to Steinway’s world class quality.

The piano was purchased in 2004 at auction in Tuxedo, NY. The auction house put us in touch with the piano technician/ tuner of the former owner who was reportedly a cousin of the Fricks. The piano was previously cared for by the tuner’s father, also a technician who worked for the cousin. Is there proof of this? The only information other than the word of the technician was the original destination of the piano Cleveland, Ohio where the Frick family was originally from. Along with the fact that around the turn of the 20th century many wealthy New Yorkers settled in Tuxedo Park.

The piano also has a Pianomation player system and 14 CD’s, which the piano plays. About 210 songs in all, more available from Pianomation. At the time of installation the system which is fully operational cost about $5000. The piano is available for local pickup in Mahopac,NY 10541.
