This is a grand display piece of giant pectens (Gigantopecten) on original matrix that dates back to the Neogene, Miocene (23.03- 5.33 million years).


It was found in France, and I was told it was collected about twenty years ago in the Lacoste quarry, Vaucluse.


It is mounted on a nice wooden base so it stand upright.
