LOT OF 2 RARE BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE LATE 19th/ EARLY 20th CENTURY QI’ING DYNASTY CHINESE EMBROIDERED SILK HATS, ONE FOR A WOMAN AND ONE FOR A CHILD (A GIRL(?) )!


Up for the auction is a lot of 2 rare beautiful antique from the late 19th/ early 20th century QI’ING dynasty Chinese embroidered silk hats: a child festival hat with metal Buddha and Immortals ornaments on it and blue silk embroidered female hat.

The blue female hat embroidered in forbidden stitches (Peking knot); the female hat shows extensive damages and losses to the old silk material and some losses to the silk threads of the embroidery (see pictures). The child’s hat with metal figures are overall in good condition without visible damages; embroidered in satin stitches using bright multicolored threads. Features flowers and birds.

Extremely finely worked pieces- just look at the pictures!

The sleeve bands are not cut- all full length.

CONDITION: 

GOOD/ FAIR ANTIQUE CONDITION WITH SERIOUS DAMAGES &TEARING ONLY TO THE BLUE WOMAN’S HAT. THE OTHER MULTICOLORED EMBROIDERED SILK HAT WITH METAL IMMORTALS IS IN GOOD CONDITION. FOR CONDITION REPORT PLEASE, REFER TO THE PICTURES.
