Since 1990s, our studio started to design and make needlepoint. Most of artisans are young female farmers in countryside at that time, they had nothing else to do but farming, we introduced needlepoint production, which gave many farmers a second income in addition to agriculture, some improvement in their lives and school fees for their children. Later on, with the industrialisation spread, traditional crafts like needlepoint embroidery started to decline, old craftsmen are losing their eyesight due to age, and they are gradually withdrawing from production, younger people did not want to do kind of work because they could earn more money by doing other jobs. However, in some remote areas people can not leave their hometowns to work in distant factories because they have to take care of their children. Therefore, some of them can earn money by embroidering at home and get rid of the single income from agriculture.

Needlepoint, an age-old art form, has been captivating hearts and adorning homes for centuries. This exquisite craft involves meticulously stitching intricate designs onto canvas, creating intricate tapestries that blend beauty and functionality. Each piece is a labor of love, with countless hours poured into creating a masterpiece that seamlessly blends tradition and artistry.

Needlepoint pieces are not merely decorative elements; they are expressions of passion, patience, and skill. From intricate floral motifs to iconic landscapes, these works of art transform ordinary spaces into havens of warmth and character. Embrace the timeless allure of needlepoint and elevate your home with a touch of handcrafted elegance that transcends trends and stands the test of time.

Needlepoint was called tent stitching in the 1700s and differed chiefly from cross stitch in that it used only half of the stitch.
