The back is suitable for engraving.  3/4 inch in diameter.  4 grams. This medal appears to be silver and possibly three other alloys. Medal by Becker.  From the unsold inventory of The Catholic Art Store in business from 1906 to 1962 in San Francisco specializing in imported Sterling and silver medals and medallions from France.  This medal is actually an antique and is between 60 and 113 years old.  It has never been owned or worn by anyone.
