(1862) Washington Born / Died Silver Medal by Anthony Paquet
Baker-155B. Struck in silver, 3.09 grams, 18mm. Struck by the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia and part of the U.S. Mint Series, the obverse features an undraped bust of Washington facing right in a plain field. The AP (Paquet) monogram is visible on the truncation of the neck. The reverse depicts a wreath surrounding BORN 1732 / DIED 1799 at the center. These were also struck in gold and bronze. The mintage is unknown.
