A Very Rare Fine Korean Silver Inlaid-壽- Copper Rectangular Box-19th C.:
Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century.
A rectangular copper tobacco box with push button bar ball on butterfly platform, that causes
the door to slide open and a rare bat shape handle, with an auspicious character “壽-longevity”
in silver inlay on the top cover and it’s set on four yellow brass supporters.
It’s in very fine condition with a dark-copper patina over the surfaces overall,
it measures 10cm long x 5.8cm w. x 5.6cm h.
Please note: It’s a small, but a copper silver inlaid box is much rarer than a silver inlaid one.
