This is a good antique Royal Doulton Vase dating to the early twentieth century. It stands 19cm tall and is nicely decorated with a typical Doulton pattern of the period. It has several impressed numbers together with the impressed Royal Doulton mark and incised MD for Mary Button. There is also an impressed hd which are the initials used by E Violet Hayward although the style looks slightly different to her mark (hence the question mark in my title).

The vase is in good condition. I have found one tiny flaw in a two millimetre chip to the glaze which I have highlighted in the photos .  Please study the photos carefully to satisfy yourself with the condition of the piece.

If, like me, you enjoy searching eBay for hidden treasures, you may enjoy my novel (see my AboutMe). Mr Prendergast's Fantastic Find is a light hearted comedy about what happens when a keen eBayer discovers two priceless antique vases on eBay.It has plenty of great reviews and is available to download on Kindle for less than a pound.
