For sale is a brand new pair of e-code headlights by TYC. These are pretty much the only option on the market currently for a mk2 aero front end. Original aero headlights from Hella are NLA unfortunately - I've tried to get Hella to make them, they won't. I don't always have these headlights available, so if you see them, buy them. Please ask any questions you may have, I'm happy to answer.

Fitment is for 1985-1992 Jetta, 1985-1989 GTI, and 1987-1992 Golf. Or any mk2 with an aero headlight front end. Included is one left and one right front headlight.

These lights are made for RHT - right hand traffic, LHD cars, which make them perfect for the US market. They are not DOT coded, so keep that in mind if you live in a state that still is strict with inspections. This is the part where car parts websites would write "For Off Road Use Only".

I've shown the headlights with a front grille so that you can see what they look like mocked up. The front grille is not included in this listing. These lamps are provisioned for city lights, and I've shown the spot for where you'd hook that up. Adding city lights is optional, and I find that most people do not wire these up. City lights are a low watt bulb that illuminate the inside of the headlight housing that go on with your running lights. It does look great.

The main lights require H4 bulbs. You will need to convert the 9003 light setup to H4 female sockets. These harnesses are less than $10 on Amazon; I've seen them on ebay before as well. Another option here is to buy or build yourself a headlight relay. Headlight relays are great when using traditional halogen bulbs especially in an older car. Headlight relays are set up so the power to the bulbs comes straight from the battery instead of traveling through the 30 year old switch in your car.

No bulbs are included so you can choose your own configuration. I recommend the standard 55/60W H4 setup because that's the type of light that these glass housings were designed for. If you choose to use an LED bulb, you will need to make sure it has a sharp cut off. And please, no matter what, AIM YOUR LIGHTS. The last thing you want is to be that person who's blinding everyone. I've installed these headlights twice now, and I recommend being very delicate with the headlight adjusters. If I could make anything more robust on these units, it would be the headlight adjusters.
