Theodor von Dietel (until raised to the nobility in 1892: Theodor Dietel) (*16. December 1830 in Zeulenroda; † 17. September 1900 in Greiz) was a German judge, administrative officer and politician.

Life: Dietel attended the Thomasschule high school in Leipzig from 1842 to 1849 and then studied political science and law in Leipzig from 1849 to 1852. From the 21st November 1852 he was an access clerk at the government and consistory office in Greiz and since the 5th. September 1894 Actuary at the Burgk Justice Office. For 1. On July 27, 1862, he was transferred to the Greiz Criminal Court as the second actuary with the title of criminal court secretary, where he was appointed on July 27th. September 1865 was promoted to criminal assessor. As part of the reorganization of the court and administrative structure in 1868, he became a judicial officer. From 1872 he held the title of councilor, from the 13th December 1876 of a judicial council. With the formation of the Greiz Regional Court, he became the first. October 1879 district judge, from 2. January 1880 with the title of regional judge.

Dietel was often a member of the Greiz state parliament. Initially it belonged to the state parliament of 21. July 1870 and from 5. until 10. December 1870 as Richard von Geldern-Crispendorf's deputy. From 1874 to 1876 he was one of the deputies appointed by the prince and from 1877 to 1893 he was elected in general elections in constituency 7. He was vice-president of the state parliament several times and was senior president in 1892.

He represented conservative positions and was a member of the German Conservative Party from 1876. He ran unsuccessfully for this in the older line of the Reuss Reichstag constituency.
