Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of quilted calfskin leather with large stitch quilting. This particular bag is the new medium size of the collection and features a long antique ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Retail price for the New Medium is $6200.
Condition

 The exterior leather is clean and beautiful with light creasing on the body and strap as well as rubbing along the edges. The hardware remains shiny with a few scratches. There are scuffs under the flap, a few tears on the inner corners and the lining is soiled. Overall this bag has signs of light use but remains in good, gently used condition.
