This is Real Photo Postcard (RPPC), postally used and postmarked 1940 from Juneau, Alaska. Postcard features a view of the original Chief Johnson Totem Pole in Ketchikan, Alaska as it stood circa 1940..  The Chief Johnson Totem Pole was raised in 1901 as a symbol of the Tlinget tribe's history and culture. It stood until 1982 when it was removed due to decay.  In 1989, a replica of the original was raised. 

Note that postcard has some damage at the bottom of the front of the card.
