BIO: Captain Edward Laney served from 1945-1971 WWII, Korea USS Valley Forge VF-57 F-4U Fighter Pilot, flew 183 combat missions in Korea and 30 in Vietnam, one air victory in Korea. On January 22nd, 1952 he crashed in North Korea. Vietnam 1965-1970  EA3B calling SAM Alerts for the strike group hitting Hanoi flew 36 missions later served aboard the USS Coral Sea. Distinguished Flying Cross, 2 Bronze Stars, 11 Air Medals. In the film “The Bridges of Toko-Ri” he was the pilot portrayed on the beach.
