VARIABLE FOCUSING CLOSE-UP ATTACHMENT Model "VARIFOCUS"
VARIFOCUS can be used with any SLR camera.
TWO-IN-ONE EXTREME WIDE FOCUSING RANGE
The shortest focusing distance of 50 mm or 55 mm standard lens is about 40 to 65 cm. VARIFOCUS is designed for unusual wide focusing range of approximately 7 to 49 cm with 50 mm lens, and 10 to 49 cm with 55 mm lens. Usually, to cover the same focusing range, two close-up lenses are needed.
FOCUSING
First the focusing of the camera lens should be set at the shortest distance, and then focusing of the subject can be done seeing through the viewfinder and rotating the front ring of VARIFOCUS exactly in the same way of focusing the camera lens.
PRACTICAL LENS OPENING (f-VALUE)
Due to very short distance between the subject and camera, the depth-of-field is very shallow. Therefore, in order to obtain better resolving power of the lens, diaphragm of the camera lens (aperture) should be set at f: 5.6 or smaller.
EXPOSURE FACTOR
No exposure compensation or adjustment is necessary.
