WWII/2 US M-1 front seam
fixed bale helmet complete with liner and chinstrap made by Mine Safety and
Appliance and so marked in the liner. This is a period original piece complete with
original cork paint and chinstrap with the brass fittings, liner Mine Safety
and Appliance marked with leather sweatband and khaki nape strap with brown
leather strap to connect the liner to the helmet. The liner even retains the original paint to
the liner. There is a pair of initials on
the front of the helmet H.J.M. This is
an original set worn and used this way that just came out of the woodwork. You seldom find
them like this anymore. This is a really good piece
and hard to obtain so bid with confidence.
