Antiquarian UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON STUDENT SCRAPBOOK, 1922-1925. A campus-sold Memory Book with cloth purple and gold school ‘W’ on the cover, illustrated title page, and some pre-printed pages; then 32 pages of colorful ephemera including a lot of beautiful DANCE CARDS (some are several pages, have multiple illustrations, are hand-cut, die-cut or are otherwise of note, and all take place at Seattle hotels, Masonic halls, ROTC Armory); plus party invitations, prom souvenirs, play/theater programs, banquet programs, sorority and fraternity party cards, some letters and calling cards, a freshman’s green felt beanie, some nice die-cut figures, and more).
Two cool dance cards on the first page are the Washington’s Own Engineers Informal, purple with navy girl in die-cut porthole; and beneath that, the blue/orange/black die-cut one is jr prom, with 8 different illustrations inside, and with the titles of the songs they danced to written on each page (Pack up your Sins, Early in the Morning Blues, Way Down Yonder in New Orleans, Fate, After Every Party, more); it says “shop of CLINT W. LEE, Seattle” on back page. Another page has an actual soft leather-bound book with handmade paper, also made by CLINT LEE, and next to it a 2-page scroll for the Cadet Ball. Another says “Skull House” with skull graphics, and across from that is the blue one with soldier on the cover, it has gold-leaf endpapers and 16 pages of double-leaf green paper each with illustration, and says “designed by PAUL THIERY”; one is a die-cut Chinese lantern, two others are-die-cut Indian headdresses, another unfolds. Measures 12.5x17 inches.

Condition: moisture damage and spotting to front cover, a little to back cover, but the pages are contents are very clean overall, except for the decimated feathers and crumpled crepe-paper dolls; the crepe-paper flower fell out; almost everything is pasted in.
