This beautifully-detailed  breast star is a high-quality replica of the Grand Cross of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus (Ordine dei Santi Maurizio e Lazzaro), an order of knighthood of the Italian Royal House of Savoy. The order was established in 1572.

The order was a combination of the Order of Saint Maurice (founded in 1434) with the medieval Order of Saint Lazarus. The order was awarded by the Italian crown from 1861 until 1946.

This medal is made of silver-plated brass and enamel. Dimensions: 9 cm X 9 cm.  Weight 4.4 oz / 125 grams.
