1969 Mercedes 250ce W114 coupe, 

86k, 12 months MOT. 

Rare car this. It came through to us via a very good friend (YouTube vid will be up this week) and it’s amazing thing! 

This is a really early car, hence the steering wheel and gearshift. And what a colour combo! It has that injected M130 2.8 straight 6. These engines are the ones to have in a w114. 

Mechanically it’s as you would expect. The car had been sat for a while previous to it being MOT’d. Yes that’s right it’s been MOT’d even though it’s exempt. So it runs nice enough, the more you drive it the better it gets. I’ve driven it quite a bit and the box is smooth and it drives as you expect one of these too. It’s got power steering and it genuinely is lovely to drive. 

The bodywork definitely need attention, hence the price. The paint has blistering and in general is tatty. Basically there is no saving it but it presents well, It’s come up nice for us but it is as you see it. But this is a non sunroof car! 

The interior is in great shape for 55 years old! It’s red which is a beautiful colour contrast to the blue. The wood on the dash had been sanded back to be restored but we had it mid way through lol. All the carpets are there and windows all work. 

As mentioned previously these are super rare cars and are very valuable. We have priced this accordingly. It’s a perfect way into ownership to one of these. It’s a rolling, useable car that has plenty of scope to be improved.
