Former film and TV actor, Ronald Reagan, ran for California Governor in 1966 and won two terms.  This was during many of that state's student protests, over the Vietnam War and other issues, which made Berkeley famous and infamous.  A law-and-order candidate and governor, tons of 1.25" cello button were sold in those hippy-dippy head shops to young people who thought they could get away with anything and resented when they got tear gassed.  In light of all the comparable anti-pins while he was a two-term president that out there, a person can build a wonderful collection of trays filled with just anti-Reagan pinbacks. So, we thought we'd list some in our eBay store just for kicks since they're clever and fun.

This 2.25" cello was put out after he fired the air traffic controllers who went out on strike in 1981, endangering the public safety.  Reagan was a former president of the Screen Actors Union, and Reagan democrats-many of them union members themselves-obviously didn't believe this charge by the left and helped give him one of the biggest electoral landslides in U.S. history in 1984. This was made in Clinton, Iowa by the Brown Button Company.
