Up for sale is a used Canon AE-1 Program 35mm SLR body, serial #1285517, which comes with a manual focus 50mm f/1.8 FD mount lens, serial #3811348.  Also included is a fresh battery along with a generic lens cap.  This camera is in good working condition with accurate shutter speeds and an accurate exposure meter, but please be sure to note that the shutter has an annoyingly loud squeal to it and needs to be lubed to get rid of the sound.  Honestly, if you read that last sentence and have no idea what it means then this is definitely not the right camera for you because I don't want you to be negatively surprised when you press the shutter button and hear it.  The lens has no scratches or fungus, but there is some oil on the back of the aperture blades (though it is not making them sluggish or having any effect on the performance of the diaphragm--see 7th photo).  Cosmetically, this camera is in above-average condition with only light signs of previous use.  Please be sure to fully enlarge the provided photos, and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
