Princess Gardner Cigarette Case Ivory w/ Red & Black
Stripe MCM Retro / Art Deco
A nice addition for any Tobacciana collector, searched
images on the internet and didn’t see another exactly like this one. However, I did see the matching lighter on eBay recently as well titled “Vintage Prince Gardner Automatic…”, (is not mine).
- Marked on bottom: “Princess Gardner.”
- Marked on rim: “Germany U.S. PAT. 2,873,876” – (1959 pat. Date)
- Colors: Aged Ivory, Red & Black
- Front Decoration: Red & Black leather stripes running
from top right corner down to bottom left corner.
- Press lever down to open flip top hinged lid and then click to shut.
Materials:
- Leatherette (leather or leather-like?) case,
- Antique Copper/colored metal (could be copper as there is some patina on a hinge inside?) (rim around top of case, top lid, hinges, and opening hardware) and,
- hard
plastic liner inside case.
Measures: 2-3/8” L x
1-1/8” W x 3-1/2” H.
Pre-owned, vintage used condition, top lid is missing the
leather cover, on the front and back the ivory leather feels like may be coming
unglued in spots, other signs of wear due to usage/age – see photos for complete condition
