If you love military style watches then this Civilian issue version of the highly collectible Omega RAF Spitfire Pilots watch reference CK2292 6b/159 could be the great budget and underappreciated military era watch for you!

The story behind this model is after the war the MoD made civilian versions of he 6b/159 to sell as surplus and rehoused the movements inside a Dennison 13322 case. The big difference is that the civilian models have springbars rather than fixed bar lugs allowing you to put this watch on any strap your heart desires. The dial is slightly different to its military counterpart and does not feature 'Swiss Made' at the 6 o'clock.

The dial has a beautiful cream color to it with incredible blued steel hands which are mesmerizing. The case is in overall good condition with a snap caseback and an unsigned crown.

The case and crystal have some light scratches (visible in photos) but the watch is in overall beautiful condition for its age.

The watch has been recently serviced by a certified Omega watchmaker at the famous Seybold building in downtown Miami.
