1855 $1 The Bank of Macomb County - Mt. Clemens, MICHIGAN Note PCGS Fine 12

1855 $1 The Bank of Macomb County note from Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

This bank operated from 1836 until it failed in 1841. It was later revived in 1851 and failed again in 1858. This note is from the bank's second attempt.

Commerce and Ceres flank a shield with a "1" on it between "1" counters. A Vignette of Sheep Shearing is printed on the bottom left and a farmer holds a large harvesting rake at the bottom right. On the top corners are different Vignettes of early ships.

This note is PCGS Currency Graded Fine 12 with some pinholes around the center.
