MUSKETEER is an original hand drawn stone lithograph(not a photo reproduction or digital print) by the American artist Henry Regis, printed by hand from a lithography stone in NYC on archival Arches Buff printmaking paper, 100% acid-free. 

MUSKETEER presents an eerie, surreal portrait depicting a headless man wearing a swashbuckler hat and cape coat carrying a male head on a what looks to be a sort of tray and also a long haired head draped over his arm.

MUSKETEER is a very interesting and unique handmade lithograph hand signed by Henry Regis, inscribed To Joseph, (Printer Proof) unframed, in good condition, slight handling and mat toning on border.
 From the master printers private collection.

About the artist-

Henry Regis (May 7, 1929 – November 2, 2010) 

Henry Regis’s artwork spans a lifetime and can be emotive, unpredictable, imaginative, and spiritual. His work demonstrates his study and appreciation of the masters such as Picasso, Matisse, and Cezanne.
Regis received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Fine Arts from New York University and studied in Rome and Paris.

In the 1950s and 1960s, Regis was recognized by such prestigious art magazines as The Arts and Art News. His work has been exhibited in many shows and galleries. Regis’s Red Women, Brides, and Distorted Vision series are among his most famous paintings. Regis's drawings and paintings can be found in private art collections across the country.
