Vintage WWII (WW2) Nurse Mini Pull Chain Rosary

+U.S. Army Artillery Sweetheart Ring

(Note that the images on the right of the first picture are just close-ups of some of the details.)

During WWII, Catholic military nurses wore these miniature rosaries on their uniforms. The rosary is 5 1/2" long with a Blessed Virgin Mary centerpiece that has a pin back so it could be pinned to the uniform. The metal appears to be brass.

The little ring is made of a thin non-magnetic metal. The 1/2" front has the Army eagle insignia. On each side is the U.S. Army Artillery insignia (2 crosses field guns). The small size is about 3 3/4. My guess is that this was a sweetheart ring, given to a loved one by a soldier.

They are in good preowned vintage condition with noticeable age wear on the ring. The crucifix has a very slight bend (see last close-up) and I have not polished any of the metal. Please see all the pictures for finer detail and ask any questions that might be helpful.

An interesting lot.
