Here we have a vintage, spare spool for an Orvis CFO II fly reel. Please note this spool for a England made click pawl CFO II reel, and will not work with a CFO II Disc or a USA made CFO II. Also, since the roman numerals on the reel frame are often misread, if your reel has a drag adjustment knob, it is not a CFO II. The CFO II does not have an adjustable drag.
The spool is in pretty good shape. There are some little nicks along the raised lip of the palming rim, but little else. Current line direction is right hand wind, with backing and an unknown fly line present. The spool comes with a Hardy gear/grease cover and a generic velvet pouch.
