I continue selling off my collection.  I’ve owned this bike about 7 years.  It is numbers matching and in mostly complete and original condition.  The H7 at the end of the VIN indicates it’s a 1977 model year however it’s titled a 1978 probably because it wasn’t sold until the following year.  This design was way out of character for Harley.  It was built to compete with the cafe style of the Ducati 900ss, the Guzzi Lemans, the Laverda SFC and others. It did did not sell well initially which was why many languished on showroom floors.
It was purchased needing some cosmetic and mechanical upgrading. I was told by the seller there was a partial upper motor rebuild which included rings, gaskets, Barnett clutches and springs and Andrews PB+ cams.  Since purchasing, I rebuilt both master cylinders, added a new starter, brake solenoid, carb rebuild, had a new seat cover made, electronic ignition, wiring harness and a general cleanup.
I don’t think I’ve put 200 miles on the bike since purchasing. It runs, shifts and brakes as it should.  I believe the wheels, tank, side covers and fenders are in original paint.  Im guessing the front fairing was replaced as it did not have the cut out for the dash lights nor the dash light cluster.  If you’ve seen parts prices for these bikes recently, you’ll know why I refuse to pay $700 to $1000 for a fairing and another $500 for the light cluster.  I installed 2 red LED lights for the gen and oil pressure and 2 LED arrows for the turn signals. Tank is super clean inside and out but does have a 1 inch scratch right of the cap.  Tires are Metzlers with lots of tread life but show some chafing, especially the rear.  Im the 3rd owner and believe the mileage to be accurate. This is not a show bike rather a very nice Sunday rider.  Im holding a clean and signed Florida title. Questions and personal inspections welcome.
