For sale my vintage Gibson SG Standard from 1981. Stunning vintage Gibson in unmodified original condition. Features the original 'Tarback' humbucker pickups, which sound awesome. Original tuners, pots, wiring and all hardware.

The frets are quite low which is quite common on Sg's from this era but they are in good condition

Overall, the guitar is in good shape for its age, with just good honest play wear and marks.

There is also a signature and date written in the neck pickup cavity 'Linda Smith 5/3/81'. (Looking on line some Gibson staff liked to do

this similar to the people at Fender!!) the date ties up pretty much to the serial number which dates the guitar as made Tuesday 2nd June 1981

There are two small cracks in the lacquer on either side of the neck joint to the body. These have been checked out and they are only in the finish.

This guitar is identical to the one Angus Young used pretty extensively between 1981 & 1983.. he can also be seen using this model on the Flick of the switch rehearsal videos you can find on YouTube (I’ve added a couple of pics in the listing)
