This tiny little charm is made of solid 9 carat gold, and dates to the late Georgian period, around 1800. 

It probably started life as a key for a jewellery box or locket, now it's purely decorative and ideal to be hung from a chain or a bracelet. 

Its dimensions are just perfect - tiny enough to be super easy to wear every day, but big enough to catch the eye, and its ideal key form is unmistakeable at a glance. In full 3d with rounded lines, it looks amazing from all angles and as it moves on the chain. 

It has a very charming amount of wear and patina to the surface, giving authenticity and history, and weighs in at just 1.0 gram.
