20TH ANNIVERSARY OF APOLLO 11 MOON MISSION
MARSHALL ISLANDS
NEIL ARMSTRONG FIRST DAY COVER AND CACHET
UNICOVER FIRST MEN ON THE MOON SERIES
SC# 233

The cover is part of the Unicover "First Men on the Moon" series designed by Chris Calle, who designed both the stamp and the matching cachet. The cover is a very colorful depiction of Neil Armstrong, the first man from Earth to set foot on the Moon.

The cachet is in the same colors as the stamp. Above the cachet is printed "Official First Day Cover".  At the bottom of the cachet is printed "1969 FIRST MEN ON THE MOON 1989".

The stamp is cancelled with a circular cancel which says "Republic of the Marshall Islands, First Day of Issue, August 1, 1989 Majuro" and contains a portrait of Neil Armstrong.

On the reverse of the cover is a short description of Neil Armstrong and his role in history as well as an attribution of the design, printing and motif of the stamp and cachet.

The cover is unsealed and unaddressed.
