This is an exceptionally detailed discography as one would expect , but . . . the majority of the entries include additional footnotes and details about Sun Ra and the Arkestra's daily activities and travels including personal details and background information gleaned from countless discussions with band members, producers, close friends, etc., I must say this is an excellent substantive volume that I have enjoyed both as a reference work and as a book to peruse by selecting any part as an entry point. This is a must have work for anyone engaged in a "serious" study of Sun Ra!!! (Reader review)
