“Copped Copter Caper”

Flat top and BB Eyes have escaped from jail. In order to make a getaway, the two crooks devise a plan to kidnap Dick Tracy and dispose of him into the sea! Of course Go Go Gomez is secretly contacted by Tracy using only a finger  on his wrist radio to morse code Go Go, for what he hopes will aid him in the rescue!

A Great Film for those Nostalgic for the 1960s

                    Dick calls Joe Jitsu and the fun begins. I always thought it was hilarious even as a kid that Dick Tracy’s name plate on his desk was facing him, like he didn’t even know who he was!

The episodes started out the same: Tracy calling one of his cops [Hemlock Holmes, more often than not] on his TV wristwatch. The episode would revolve around the not-too competent Hemlock and the Keystone Kops trying to get the bad guys, which they would invariably do. I still remember the final shot of the show, the timpani pounding out the theme, and a high overhead shot of a busy city intersection, looking at all the ant-like cars letting a police car go by...then continuing on their way as it passed.

What made this show for me as an 8 years old were the voices. Everett Sloane [Citizen Kane] was Tracy...but it also had such greats as Mel Blanc and Paul Frees, Jerry Housner [I Love Lucy] and Benny Rubin [Citizen Kane].

There is no vinegar smell, since all my prints were kept in optimum conditions. The FILM STOCK IS KODAK FILM. The pictures provided are directly taken from the print itself, and are very accurate to the Contrast/ Density of the print.  The pictures were taken by a low priced digital camera, so that the pictures here unfortunately appear a little unfocused compared to the actual sharpness and contrast of the print for sale.  There was NO wear that I can remember. It is very entertaining and interesting film.  It is complete with all beginning titles and end credits!
