1949 Press Photo Winter garb for traffic officers modeled by motorcycle squad
This is an original press photo. Winter garb for traffic officers were modeled yesterday by three members of the motorcycle squad. The new coats feature mouton lamb fur collars and outside gun pockets. Storm sleeves are built into the coats for added warmth. The three patrolmen modeling the coats are Peter J. Nenno, left; E. J. Tye, center, and Leroy Butcher, right. Forty-six coats were purchased by the police department at a cost of $57 each.Photo measures 6.5 x 8.75inches. Photo is dated 01-08-1949.
