A Very Fine/Rare Korean Iron Glazed Double Gourd Shape Bottle-18th/19th C
Korea, Joseon dynasty, 18th -19th Century
This is an unusual gourd shape bottle, well portioned,
well potted, and dark and light iron glazed overall surfaces including its
bottom with some sand bears on base, ring foot unglazed, a part of its body
surfaces with a thick and dark glaze, like a black glaze-Temoku-, and the other
ones with a light brownish honey glaze which makes a beautiful contrasts
between dark and light glazes.
It is in very fine condition except some small chips on ring foot.
Measures 20.5cm x 12.7cm h.
