Hello!!

I am helping a relative to clear their loft (very slowly!) which is where we found this item - I suspect it has been there for decades!!

It is a Vintage Carborundum Company of Manchester England box containing 30 glass vials which contain I think (I'm not certain!) different abrasive material samples?

As far as I can see the samples themselves are unused.  The box has seen better days though:

-  it is stained on the outside and the carborundum wording is rather faded.

-  one of the metal clasps has broken off

-  on the inside the lining is quite mottled and stained - not sure what has caused this - it almost looks as though there might once have been a tissue paper lining which has now disintegrated, or maybe it is 'old' damp/mould - really not sure

-  please see pics.

The box itself measures approx 28cm x 11cm x 3cm.  Each vial stands approx 5cm x 1.3cm.

I'm guessing it's from the 1950s, but that really is a guess!

I am very happy to offer combined postage where possible to UK buyers. However, I'm afraid Ebay does not allow the option to offer combined postage to overseas buyers due to GSP restrictions - if I could, I would, but it is out of my hands, sorry!!

From a smoke free home. Any questions, please ask.

Thank you for looking!!
