This is a 24 Pt. size of a really OLD type, I think was made by Barnhart Brothers and Spindler of Chicago in the early years ot the 1900s. The face is oversize for the 24 pt. bodies, and may well be the 30 point shown in the picture from their catalog. It fills the face of the body, and some items to note are overhangs from above, below, and sides of some letters. cap Qs, lower case y, p q, commas, semi-colons all overhang at the bottom, Cap Js overhand on the left side of the type body, The dollar signs overhand at both the top and bottom, and I have added spacing every place those letters appear. To fully understand the expanded or elongated amounts, the cap W is 2 picas tall, but 6 picas wide. all letters are present, regardless of their condition. A few have scratches, and/or nicks which would be normal from type this old. I acquired in in Colorado some years ago, and have always admired it, but never used it in order to make sure I didn't break any of what I would call kerns. ANY questions, please ask, and I will answer to the best of my ability. The galley, stick of furniture, and the magnetic holders are NOT included.
