Item Description

Shoji Nobe No.15 '74 (1974)

A 1974s classical guitar by Shoji Nobe, known as a master craftsman of the Showa era!

Shoji Nobe began repairing guitars in 1945 using the skills of his father, Ikue Nobe, who was a joiner, and later began making guitars.
Opened his own business in 1965, and became known as the master craftsman of the Showa era due to his high level of skill.
Although he passed away in 2004, his son has now taken over the business and the brand has been passed down.

You can confirm that the model name of this model is No. 15, 1974s from the label affixed inside the body.
I think the top is spruce, and the sides and back are Jacaranda because of the grain and texture.
The actual scale is 650mm, and the nut width is 52mm.

Of course, the ebony used for the fingerboard is thick and deep black, and items like this are very rare these days.
You can see the high quality of the materials stocked in the workshop.

There are some scratches commensurate with the age, but no major damage such as cracks.
The neck is slightly warped, but not enough to cause a problem.
The string height is approximately 4.0mm on the 6th string side and approximately 3.5mm on the 1st string side.
The remainder of the saddle is approximately 3mm.

From my impressions when I played it, the thickness and depth of the sound, as well as the clarity, were outstanding.
The outline of the sound is clear, and it has the style of a high-quality Japanese handcrafted guitar.

A guitar that rarely appears on the market.
Don't miss this opportunity!

Hard shell case included
