From an old collection of mainly carpentry related tools - a vintage RECORD No 077A bullnose / chisel plane. It is a 4 inch adjustable dual function bullnose rebate plane made from cast iron with a nickel coating. The plane has a removable front attachment - when removed , it converts the plane from a bullnose to a chisel plane. The plane can be used left and right handed. The iron sits in the plane with the bevel edge side facing upwards. The two shims are also attached. These are used when the front nose attachment is screwed in. Overall it is in excellent condition. The nickel coating usually comes off over time but this has been very well looked after and very much intact. It weighs 625g unpackaged. The model number is engraved on the side.
