Beautifully made with a a tall cut glass decagon base and a dome push pfit lid with a reed desgin below and a charming monogram to the top  

Possibly originally part of a vanity dressing table  set or rosewood traveling case

Measuring approx. 5"(13cm) high x 1.5"(3.7cm) diameter x approx weight of lid 9.58g

It is hallmarked to the side of the lid NM, left facing queen's head , Lion Passant, L Leopard Head h  which I believe is Norman Marshall London 1886

In good condition, the silver has minor  dimples marks scuffs to the lid consistent with age and it may need a final polish. The glass base has a couple of teeny chips, nibbles, some residue marks inside from use and marks & scuffs consistent with age. The lid is a good fit
