R. John Wright is the famous doll artist who created “William” as part of his Little Children’s Series 1 back in the early 1980’s.
William stands 17” tall and he is made with fine wool felt molded to create a realistic looking doll. His body is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips so he can show off many cute poses.
William has curly dark brown hair that is so soft to the touch. His brown eyes are painted and he has rosy lips and cheeks. It’s the expert facial molding that really defines a R. John Wright doll. So much detail! Look at his ears, hands and shoes as good examples of the artist’s care.
William is in mint condition and comes in his original box. In fact, he was only removed for the photos in this listing. He has his original label attached to his jacket back and he is number W3 - 24 as marked on the original certificate on the inside of the box as seen in the picture.
This is in mint condition as can be seen in the pics.
