1/6 PLATE DAGUERREOTYPE PRETTY YOUNG WOMAN WEARING ELEGANT CLOTHING, NO WIPE MARKS. This is a 1/6 plate daguerreotype of a pretty young woman wearing very fancy clothing, gloves, and bonnet. There is hand tinting to her gold jewelry. There are no wipe marks. The inside of the cover is stamped "McDONELL & CO. ARTISTS  BUFFALO." McDonnell & Co. was listed as a daguerreian firm in Buffalo, NY, from 1848 to 1852.  The image is sharp and has been resealed. It is in a fancy full case with a split hinge.
