For auction is one of the nicest Pennsylvania covered dough boxes I have seen in a number of years. It is nicely dovetailed on all four corners and it has a thin lid that has no warping because of the two boards secured across the single board. These also serve as handles. It has not been painted or decorated in any way and the interior is raw wood. The piece has a very cherry color but I cannot identify the wood from which it is made. About the only damage also adds authenticity - a couple of old rodent chew marks on the upper edges of the box. At the top, it measures 33" by 11 3/4" and it is 13" tall with the lid.

I have quoted a shipping price but its going to be expensive to ship. I would welcome a pick up at my home in eastern Pennsylvania near Stroudsburg.
